Promotional Ideas
1. Tuck a WILBOR business card [they're coming!]
into the “physical” audiobook cases to let your patrons know that they can
download audiobooks, too.
2. “Staff picks” of downloadable audiobooks; use “dummy” audiobook case, with
earbuds or headphones.
3. You’ll be able to view reports of circulation and usage from your patrons;
use that for your own “best listens” list
4. Hold a “launch party” for WILBOR; demonstrations of the website and
downloading
5. Posters, flyers, bookmarks, etc. [They're coming!]
6. Purchase MP3 carrying cases with WILBOR logo and info (Janway) to give away.
7. Give away earbuds (or sell?) (Follett / BWI sells earbuds cheap - $.79 each
sold in sets of 50)
8. Have a drawing for an mp3 player
9. Put announcement on flat screen digital display, digital announcement board,
etc.
10. Give away a disc with the library's WILBOR info on the round label (labels
can be purchased at office supply stores)
Longer term:
11. Do audio (or video??) or text reviews of audiobooks and put them on your
website
12. Do a blog: reviews of the audiobooks on wilbor
