Downloading an ebook onto a Sony Reader,
using a Mac
On a Mac, the Sony Reader does not show as a
bookshelf in Adobe Digital Editions. To transfer a file from Overdrive to your
device, you will need to use the Sony Reader program. Instructions on how to
authorize your device and computer can be found in the Reader Help section (see
photo #8).

Method 1:
2. When downloading from WILBOR, browse your computer and tell it to
open the file with "Sony Reader Library," instead of Adobe Digital Edition.
3 - The title will then show up in the Library section of Reader Library, with
the expiration date noted.

4 - Drag and drop the file from Library to the Reader icon in the sidebar (see
photo #1), and it will then appear in the list of files on the Reader, again
with the expiration date noted.

Method 2:
2 - When downloading a book from Wilbor, you want to save the file to your
computer.

3 - My computer automatically puts all of my downloads into one folder. My
"Downloads" folder is found by clicking on your computer's name in Finder.

4 - I like to keep things more organized than keeping everything in the
Downloads folder, so I have an "ebooks" folder on my Desktop.

5 - To be able to open a book in Sony Reader, since Adobe Digital Editions is my
default program, I need to right-click on the book in Finder and select "Open
With" and then Reader Library.

6 - The title will then show up in the Library section of Reader Library, with
the expiration date noted.

7 - I just drag and drop the file from Library to the Reader icon in the sidebar
(see photo #1), and it will then appear in the list of files on the Reader,
again with the expiration date noted.
