Our next Wednesday Website Workday will be on October 17, 2012 from 9-11 in the Adobe Connect classroom at http://iowa.adobeconnect.com/webwed. December 5, 2011 Die Cuts: Die cuts are shapes, letters and numbers cut from pieces of cardstock paper using a die cut machine. They can be used for library programs, bookmarks, bulletin boards and more. If you are interested in ordering die cuts, contact your library resource technician [Sue Gruber at the Southwest district office: 1-866-642-7922 or sue.gruber@lib.state.ia.us).] A list of the shapes available is posted on the Iowa Library Services website under “For Libraries” (http://www.statelibraryofiowa.org/ld) and under “D” in the index tabs [or go directly to http://www.statelibraryofiowa.org/ld/c-d/diecuts]
We have
started a list of Iowa libraries with public wi fi access, and created a
"clickable" map from that. Don't forget to list your upcoming library events on the Literary Calendar of Iowa at http://www.iowacenterforthebook.org. The Iowa Conservation and Preservation Consortium Flood Recovery Handbook is available online at http://www.neirls.org/flood_recovery/flood_cover.html in case you have flooding in your area. All required postings for employers are available FREE of charge! You may contact your nearest Iowa Workforce Development office -- the Iowa Workforce Development website at http://www.iowaworkforce.org/ will help you locate the office nearest you. For a list of required postings, see http://www.iowaworks.org/reqposters.htm -- this page also tells you where to find most of the postings online to print out. You do not need to purchase these posters unless you prefer to do so!
