Webhosting Agreement Southwest Iowa library Service Area SWILSA will provide webhosting to its member public libraries, free of
charge. ___________________________________________ Library agrees that: 1. Websites hosted on the SWILSA webserver will be library-sponsored and library-related only. Friends of the Library groups and Library Foundations may be hosted as subwebs of a library's site. 2. Libraries' sites hosted on the SWILSA server but not managed by SWILSA are the responsibility of the sponsoring library; SWILSA does not assume responsibility or liability for content or maintenance of those sites. Websites will not be used for any illegal activity, including illegal use of copyrighted material. 3. While SWILSA will do its best to maintain the webserver hardware and makes occasional backups, hosted libraries should not rely on SWILSA for backups of its individual site; a hosted library should be able to restore the website from its own backup in the event of disaster/hardware failure. 4. SWILSA reserves to right to limit the size of the websites hosted and the number of simultaneous users for each library, but shall do so only on an equal basis for all hosted sites/libraries. 5. SWILSA reserves the right to suspend service temporarily, or permanently, should conditions or budget warrant it. 6. Violations of any of the above, or any illegal activity with regard to the website or webhosting, will result in immediate discontinuation of service to that library. 7.
