Random Acts of Continuing Education (RACE)
Random Acts of Continuing Education are hour-long, online sessions on current
topics of interest to librarians.
These "just in time" information sessions are scheduled irregularly, as
we hear questions/need from librarians. Interested participants meet in
the Wimba Room* to get information, ask questions and discuss the topic with
colleagues.
Registration for RACE is through the
statewide CE catalog

It Comes Every Year: the Annual Survey
9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Karen Burns, Sarah Willeford, State Library staff
1 hour CE credit toward public librarian recertification
It comes every year--the annual survey. Even if you have been doing the
survey for years, drop in to learn some tips for completing the survey
accurately (and, we hope, more easily!): Did you know, for example, that
EBSCOhost counts as 13 electronic databases? And where do you report money
received from grants? What about downloadable audiobooks in WILBOR?
Hear tips, and ask questions!
* If you have not attended a class or meeting in the Wimba classroom please
follow the link in the registration confirmation e-mail and run the setup
wizard, to ensure that your computer is set up to allow you to take full
advantage of the classroom's features.
